# What 0-degree line is the turn angle based on in the Sportsbox 3DGolf app?

## 0-degree line

To keep every capture consistent without the use of an alignment stick or extra calibration step, we are using the line through the two ankles as the 0-degree line. All turn numbers - such as the chest turn and pelvis turn - are calculated with the ankle line as the 0-degree line.
