What is Swing Direction VS. Stance?
Swing Direction in relation to stance explains the direction of the swing and how body movement patterns may influence it.
Definition: The angle between the impact zone swing plane, projected onto the ground, and the golfer's stance angle (ankle-to-ankle line). For a positive value indicates an in-to-out swing direction and a negative value indicates an out-to-in swing direction with respect to the stance.

How to Apply Swing Direction VS, Stance
📍 Use Sway Gap to Influence Swing Direction
For a right-handed golfer, a more negative Sway Gap can encourage a more rightward or in-to-out Swing Direction.
📍 For a More In-to-Out Swing
To move the swing direction more “underneath the plane,” or in-to-out, a Sway Gap of -3" or more can help encourage this pattern.
📍 For a Steeper or More Out-to-In Swing
To steepen the swing or encourage a more “over-the-top” pattern, a smaller negative Sway Gap, approximately -2 inches or less negative, can encourage a more leftward Swing Direction.
