Jenny Shin’s Efficient Downswing: Her Pelvis Movement

Jenny Shin gets it done at the Women's Scottish Open with her first victory since 2016. 🏆

She has one of the most efficient, technically sound swings on tour. Here are a few key movements every golfer can learn from!

At impact, notice these three traits shared by many of the game's best ball strikers:

1️⃣The pelvis is farther forward than it was at address.

2️⃣The pelvis center is farther forward than the chest center.

3️⃣The pelvis is more open than the chest.

This combination is the result of an efficient downswing sequence. The lower body leads, the pelvis rotates and shifts forward, and the upper body follows.

When that sequence is working, it's easier to:

  • Create more clubhead speed.
  • Compress the golf ball consistently.
  • Deliver the club with predictable face and path
