What is Chest Turn?

Chest Turn is a major engine in the upper body for rotation throughout the golf swing.

Definition:  Turn of the chest. It is negative when your chest is turned away from the target and positive when your chest is turned towards the target.

How to Apply Chest Turn

📍 At Address — Check Alignment

📍 At the Top — Check for a Full Turn
Check how much rotation the player creates in the backswing. A full turn can help create the necessary movement and separation for an efficient transition.

📍 At Impact — Check for Continued Turn
At impact, look for the chest to continue turning toward the target. A lack of Chest Turn through impact can contribute to excessive hand action or flipping at impact.
