# What is Chest Bend?

## Chest Bend evaluates posture and understands how the chest changes its bend throughout the backswing.

**Definition**:  The forward/backward bend (tilt) of your chest. Vertical is zero and forward is positive, backward is negative.

### **How to Apply Chest Bend**

 📍 **At Address — Check Forward Bend**  
Compare their forward bend at address to their Chest Lead Side Bend at the top to understand how their posture changes throughout the backswing.

📍 **At the Top — Check Chest Bend**  
In the backswing, monitor Chest Bend to make sure it isn't too negative (extension) or too positive (flexion).
