# Cam Young’s Pause: Transition Sequence

Cam Young is known for that slight pause at the top of his backswing. It’s different from most professional golfers, yet it still helps him generate speed and proper sequencing.

**Pelvis → Chest → Arms → Club**

**![](https://help.sportsbox.ai/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Sep-07-2026-08-16-39-6855-PM.png?width=665&height=395&name=image-png-Sep-07-2026-08-16-39-6855-PM.png)**

His lower body starts first. Then the chest follows, followed by the arms and finally the club.

This sequence allows energy to transfer efficiently through the swing—helping Cam generate tremendous power without sacrificing consistency.

Watch his transition closely and you'll see why that small pause matters.

**It gives everything a chance to move in the right order.**

And when the sequence is right, speed and consistency become much easier to produce. 🦾
