Brooke Henderson’s Secret Speed Lever: Her Lead Wrist

 Brooke Henderson is a major champion and she also has one of the most unique swings on tour. Her signature move is a long backswing paired with one of the deepest wrist sets in the game. 

At the top, Brooke's lead wrist angle measures just 54°, compared to an 86° tour average. That’s a difference of 32°—a dramatically deeper wrist set than most players.

But here's what makes it interesting: she starts releasing that angle early in the downswing.

Even so, because she starts from such an extreme position, she still has more wrist angle than most players at P5: 58° vs. 85° tour average.

By P6, she's back within the tour range.

It's a great example of why you can't look at one position in isolation. Brooke's unique backswing and release pattern work together to create a repeatable motion that produces elite speed and consistency.
